I can't believe that I haven't posted in this thread yet.
I found Towers Nerd after searching for videos of their 2005 fireworks show. I wanted to comment on how much I liked the show, so I joined the old forums, posted about it, and ever since then I have been here off and on, to bring an American perspective into things.

I found out about it when I searched "theme park" on itunes for a podcast. Only 2 came up and one of them was TN-I listened to it and really enjoyed its light hearted layout (showing that roller coaster facts can be done in an interesting way!!)

Been checking the website everyday since.

I think I may have said this in the chatbox... anyway, I was on ATA's forums (I wasn't a member, I was just looking at photos) and I found the picture of the 'mysterious clearing' and in the bottom left it read (not literally!): towersnerd.com

I found out about this wonderful site when i was browsing through the unofficial Alton Towers sites on towerstimes, Towersnerd seem intriguing so i clicked on it and found it amazing.

I cant remember how I got to work today let alone how I found towers nerd. Oh I know - I was fed up with the endless bickering on Towers Times and one of the chaps there suggested that here was quieter and full of nicer people and said that they give away free beer.. I'm still waiting for the free beer but the rest is pretty accurate.

I joined Towers Nerd back in 2007, I think, when I was only 14. I used to post quite regularly, but I kinda drifted away about a year ago and focused on Towers Times more. I then decided to come back onto Towers Nerd a few weeks ago, kinda because I missed it and Towers Times was getting boring. Hopefully, I will be back for good this time!
