Thursday 9^th April 2009 - YourDay officially launched at Alton Towers on 12th August 2007, after nearly a year and a half of development and installation at the Alton Towers Resort. The worlds first concept, had its fair share of delays, finally opening four months after it's original target date. The featured rides were also delayed, originally launching with Corkscrew, Nemesis, Rita & Spinball Whizzer, leaving half the rides still to come online. Both Oblivion and Air followed soon after, but the Flume and Rapids caused quite a few headaches for the YourDay team, not coming online until August 2008, just over a year after YourDay orignally opened for business.

Rumours began to circulate at the beginning of the 2009 season, due to the YourDay shop remaining closed on Towers Street, and all other references of YourDay being removed from the park. Unfortunately these rumours were true and on 31 March 2009 YourDay, Inc. appointed administrators under the instruction to liquidate the companies assets to pay off the companies creditors.
